24. We Can Be Heroes...Just For One Day
Sitting at home, I've certainly caught up on my TV shows, movies and books. One of my favorite genres of entertainment is the super hero movie. I've always loved Batman, Superman, Iron Man, Wonder Woman...You name it, I've seen it throughout the years. Growing up, I loved watching the Justice League of America against Lex Luthor and the Legion of Doom. I never really got into the whole DC Comics vs Marvel, because I loved them both. However these days, you don't have to wear a costume to be a super hero...Nurses, Doctors, Policemen and women, Bus Drivers, Firefights, Grocery stockers and checkers, and chefs that make the food. While a lot of us are staying at home trying to flatten the curve, there are essential workers that are trying to keep life going until we can return back to what we consider the new normal. Today, I show you how to draw a normal sized person, a version of Batman and then an oversized version of a police woman, a doctor/nurse and a fire fighter. I want you to pick some one that you consider a super hero and draw them with any art supplies you have.
Tuesday we will be drawing dragons and monsters.
Wednesday we will be looking at the work of Grant Wood and his landscapes.
Thursday - Draw something with wings
Friday - Draw a cityscape
Also, if you want like heroes...You can go to mypaperheroes.blogspot.com and check out the awesome paper doll templates. You can print them out and then use them for a stop motion film.
Also, if you know Mrs. Holden, her daughter has kept busy making cookies. If you are interested in her culinary arts, she does some SUPER Hero work in the kitchen! Check her out at facebook.com/ChefMackPayne
